23:01 <jammcq> I'd just like to find out the status of the xorg corp status. as far as I know, my name "James McQuillan" is listed on the registration of the corporation
23:01 <jammcq> dberkholz|mob: howdie
23:02 <dberkholz|mob> hi there
23:03 <alanc> hello
23:03 <+Bart_Massey> Hi all!
23:03 <agd5f> As far as I know we are a delaware corp already. I'm in the process of completing the 501(c)3 irs forms
23:03 <jammcq> Bart_Massey: hey, long time,no see
23:03 <alanc> but jammcq is probably on the registration of the previous LLC incarnation
23:03 <+Bart_Massey> jammcq: Good to talk to you again!
23:03 <+anholt> agd5f: excellent!
23:04 <jammcq> Bart_Massey: yeah, just checking on the corp status
23:04 <+Bart_Massey> sigh
23:04 <jammcq> wondering if i'm still listed as the sole member of the corporation
23:05 <+Bart_Massey> beats me
23:05 <jammcq> heh
23:05 <+Bart_Massey> I never really understood the old corp at all; I thought we finally dissolved it?
23:06 <jammcq> I dunno. there was some paperwork that I sent in many months ago, that was supposed to help transfer the old corp to the new corp. I just never heard if that happened
23:06 <agd5f> jammcq: you're listed as the incorporator and the directors shall be picked by bylaws. no idea on pre-delaware stuff
23:06 <+Bart_Massey> I remember going to some trouble to get everybody's sigs
23:06 <+Bart_Massey> Yeah, I think we're good; being the "incorporator" doesn't really matter to anything, and there's been elections
23:07 <jammcq> agd5f: so me being the "incorporator", just wonder if that leaves me liable for anything that the corporation does
23:07 <agd5f> jammcq: no idea. I'll ask Karen tomorrow
23:07 <jammcq> ah, thanks
23:07 <+Bart_Massey> I don't believe so. You can email Karen Sandler and ask her if you are concerned.
23:07 <+Bart_Massey> agd5f: Thanks!
23:07 <agd5f> I've set up a call with karen tomorrow if anyone has anything they want me to ask about
23:08 <jammcq> agd5f: if you could let me know at jam@Ltsp.org, that'd be great
23:08 <agd5f> jammcq: will do.
23:08 <alanc> anything else to mention on the 501(3)c status while we're on the topic?
23:09 <+Bart_Massey> Is our honored Treasurer here?
23:09 <agd5f> keithp: any news on the financial info from you or stuart?
23:09 <alanc> doesn't seem to be, I can walk down the hall and poke him
23:10 <+Bart_Massey> I think that Stuart needs to produce (w/ keithp's help) the reports needed for 501(3)c ASAP; Karen seemed to be getting unhappy about this.
23:10 <+Bart_Massey> I feel bad that I let it sit for so long...
23:10 <+Bart_Massey> We need to figure out whether we need to pay taxes this year, so make sure to ask Karen about that
23:11 <alanc> Stuart can't come to the meeting right now, said he had no update to pass along
23:11 <+Bart_Massey> 'k
23:11 <agd5f> Bart_Massey: already on the list
23:13 <alanc> our other main topic of discussion recently has been XDS, but I guess if mherrb isn't coming today, there won't be much to say thre
23:15 <ajax> if anyone's looking for a windmill to tilt at, it would be kind of pleasant if someone could talk to The Open Group about the license on XTS5
23:15 <ajax> right now it's classic Artistic, which is a little murky, enough so that Fedora won't distribute code under it
23:15 <+Bart_Massey> ajax: Do tell...
23:16 <alanc> I've actually been meaning to ask them about cleaning up the license on all the old code they own to the current MIT template, to reduce a bunch of crud
23:16 <+Bart_Massey> Makes sense
23:16 <ajax> Clarified Artistic or Artistic 2.0 would be much improved
23:16 <+Bart_Massey> But MIT would be best, no?
23:16 <ajax> *shrug*
23:16 <alanc> (not at all motivated of course by my need to gather all the license info for our packages for Oracle's lawyers to review)
23:16 <ajax> OSI-approved is all the higher of a bar i care about
23:17 <+Bart_Massey> Fair enough
23:17 <alanc> do we have a contact at TOG? I remember Howard coming to XDC in Boston, but he was leaving them
23:17 <alanc> Andrew Josey is the only other person there I remember dealing with
23:17 <ajax> i don't know how much of it they can actually relicense, i think i saw several other companies' copyrights on the code
23:18 <ajax> and it's certainly not the end of the world if it can't be fixed
23:18 <alanc> I guess I can sign up for asking them about both at once
23:18 <+Bart_Massey> I think they contracted for XTS, so that copyright should be owned by TOG unless they transferred it to us?
23:19 <ajax> i don't think they transferred it to us.
23:20 <+Bart_Massey> 'k
23:23 <alanc> so anything else to discuss today?
23:24 <+Bart_Massey> I'm good
23:24 <agd5f> nothing else here
23:25 <+Bart_Massey> move to adjourn
