Alan mentioned that StephaneMarchesin had posted [[http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-devel/2010-April/007826.html|the list of accepted GSoC students for X.Org and their projects]].  The projects cover not just the core X code base, but the wider X community, including Mesa, DRI, and XCB.   The board members all thanked Stephane for his work in organizing this year and appreciate the efforts he put in.

Students who are not involved in GSoC but have project proposals (including at other times than Google's traditional GSoC period) are encouraged to investigate
the XorgEVoC program for funding from the [[XorgFoundation|X.Org Foundation]].   Mentors were reminded that students who successfully complete the GSoC program
are traditionally funded by the board to attend the next developer conference, such as this year's [[Events/XDS2010|XDS2010]] to present on their projects and
discuss their perspective as a new developer getting involved in X.
