I work as a Unix sysadmin (Solaris and a bit of Linux). I'm also a volunteer for the Wikimedia Foundation.
I'm not a programmer, but I've been interested in X and following its development ever since I herded the Wikipedia article X_Window_System to featured status a few years ago. (It's now been defeatured, but oh well.)
I also fiddle with getting Wine to compile on Windows. The legitimate justification is to make Wine more robustly cross-platform. The real justification is that it's obviously evil and wrong and therefore fun. It's also a good way to learn to use git.
