The X.Org Foundation
The X.Org project provides an open source implementation of the X Window System. The development work is being done in conjunction with the [http://freedesktop.org freedesktop.org] community. The [:XorgFoundation:X.Org Foundation] is the educational non-profit corporation whose [:BoardOfDirectors:Board] serves this effort, and whose [http://members.x.org Members] lead this work.
The current X.Org release is [:Releases/7.3:X11R7.3]. The next major release will be [:Releases/7.4:X11R7.4]. Information about all [:XorgReleases:releases] is available. (*Important: If you have an older release, please see the SecurityPage for information on security updates.*)
