Xgl

Xgl is an modern X server architecture layered on top of OpenGL. Xgl can take advantage of the latest in graphics hardware and provides an efficient and seamless integration of GLX.

This talk will give an introduction to the design of Xgl and a brief history of the work that led to the current implementation of Xgl. It will present an overview of the current state of Xgl, near-term plans for 2005 and a long-term vision for how Xgl will take the X window system into the next generation of desktop graphics.
